Private Museum
This series proposes a conceptual fiction involving hundreds of imaginary artworks created by dozens of imaginary artists: drawings, paintings, photographs, sculptures, found objects, and assemblages that form the collection of Martin Chmara, an eccentric - but also imaginary - Swiss collector who warehouses the works upon acquisition after reducing each one to a photographic trace, an illustration in a catalogue. The series is ongoing and each new work is added to the collector’s fictitious hoard.
